On Sunday January 11th The
First Baptist Church of Orrick, Missouri ordained Darren
McLaughlin
as deacon. About a year ago the deacon board began praying for
God to lead them in the selection of a new deacon. After a
great deal of prayer and discussion they unanimously agreed to
invite Darren to become a deacon. Pastor Kahler met with
Darren and Karen and he agreed that he felt God calling him into this
area of ministry. At a regular business meeting the church unanimously
voted to ordain Darren after training.
After training with Pastor
Kahler and Deacon Chairman Bruce Dugan, Darren was ordained on
the morning of February 17th.
